FlySafair introduces new routes | Travelstart Blog

FlySafair has introduced yet another exciting route on their already impressive flight network, this time connecting Cape Town and Windhoek.  Bookings are already open on Travelstart’s website and travel app for travel from 22 October 2024, with flights operating twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

FlySafair started the year off with a bang by announcing that they would be connecting two of South Africa’s major tourism hubs, Cape Town and the Kruger National Park.   With the newly introduced direct flights between Cape Town International Airport and Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport commencing in April 2024, travellers would now be able to connect seamlessly between the two without having to travel via Johannesburg, making the inclusion of both safari and The Mother City in one itinerary convenient and more cost effective.

The low-cost carrier also connects the following local and regional destinations:

About Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town is where rugged beauty meets urban flair, a city nestled between mountains and sea. From the iconic Table Mountain towering above to the vibrant streets of the Bo-Kaap, it’s a place where adventure and culture collide. Whether you’re exploring the buzzing V&A Waterfront, catching the waves at Clifton Beach, or venturing out to the Cape Winelands, Cape Town offers a mix of natural wonder, rich history, and a laid-back vibe that keeps travellers coming back. It’s not just a destination—it’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve left.

About Kruger National Park, South Africa

Kruger National Park is the ultimate safari destination, a vast wilderness teeming with wildlife in its natural habitat. Spanning nearly 20,000 square kilometers, this iconic South African reserve offers the chance to spot the “Big Five” — lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo — alongside countless other species. Whether you’re driving through its diverse landscapes or staying in one of its secluded lodges, Kruger offers an immersive experience in raw, untouched nature. With breathtaking sunsets, starry nights, and the thrill of close encounters with majestic animals, it’s the kind of adventure that brings you face-to-face with the wild.

About Windhoek, Namibia

Visiting Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, offers a unique blend of African charm and European influences. Nestled between rolling hills, this laid-back city combines modernity with rich history. You’ll find German architecture alongside bustling markets, where local culture thrives.
