Asake has said his first words following initial reports of him abandoning his alleged father in a recent video.
Multiple award-winning singer Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, has recently been at the center of public attention following a viral video featuring a man, Fatai Odunsi, who claims to be his father.
The ‘Why Love‘ singer has shared his first words since the video surfaced on social media.
In the video, Odunsi alleges that he has been battling a stroke since March 2022 and that Asake has not been in contact since then.
He said in the video, “I am Asake’s father, the singer. When I had a stroke in March. The last time I saw him was in 2022 and when I call I’m he doesn’t pick. I’m frustrated and that’s why I’m appealing to you, I need your help.”
The video has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many expressing concern over the allegations.
As if to respond to the allegations, the popular singer took to social media to share a video of him singing in Yoruba, he had sung in the video, “you can’t satisfy the world. Anything you do, make sure you do it for God and make sure you remember the day we all die. Are you not seeing how it is all happening, even my father wants to bring me down but I stand and I am fit, you can’t turn off my light…”
