Cole Palmer sets a new Premier League record

Cole Palmer etched his name into the history book of the Premier League by setting a record that had never been achieved by any player in history.

The England international became the first player in the history of the competition to score four goals in the first half of any Premier League game. Cole Palmer set this record in the league game against Brighton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Palmer has been in a fantastic form since he completed his move from Manchester City to join Chelsea during the 2023 summer transfer window.

Cole Palmer took his hattricks at the club to three, which is the joint-most of any Chelsea player in the competition’s history and level with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Didier Drogba, and Frank Lampard.

Chelsea fans will hope Palmer can keep fit all season and continues in this fantastic form across all competitions as they look to finish in the top four and also win at least a trophy.
