Nigerian singer and songwriter, Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has spoken candidly about his split from the P-Square duo with his twin brother and longtime music partner, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy).
In a recent interview with Cool FM Lagos, Mr P reflected on their separation, revealing that there’s a distinct sense of fulfillment he experiences as a solo artist. “There’s a joy that comes with going solo. Please respect our decisions. We’ve tried it; it’s not working,” he stated.
His comments come months after Paul Okoye publicly confirmed that the iconic music duo, P-Square, had parted ways once again. The brothers, who first went their separate ways in 2016 before reuniting in 2021, have been at the center of breakup rumors in recent times.
While fans continue to express mixed reactions to the news of the P-Square split, both artists appear focused on their individual journeys, with Mr P emphasizing the importance of personal peace and creative freedom.
