Chelsea’s superstar midfielder, Cole Palmer has sent a message to everyone who has criticised him over his poor form in the past few weeks.
The Blues ended their run of defeats with an impressive 4-0 win over bottom club side, Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Goals from Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto, Levi Colwill and Marc Cucurella saw Enzo Maresca side move to fourth place pending when Manchester City play their game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The 22-year-old has failed to score or assist in any of his last seven outings in all competitions. Cole Palmer was disappointed at full-time against Southampton despite the victory of the Saints.
The midfielder has insisted that he promised that he will back on a social media post after the match. He wrote;
“Well done lads, +3. Don’t worry, I will be back.”
Palmer was impressive at the start of this season for Chelsea having scored 14 goals and seven assists in the first 27 games of the season in the Premier League.
Maresca has insisted that Palmer’s poor form is perfectly normal as players can not be on top form every game.
He said
“It is quite easy. All of them, they went through some bad moments, it is normal. “
Chelsea supporters will hope that Palmer scores when they face Leicester City next in the Premier league which is sandwiched with a double legged game against Copenhagen in the UEFA Conference League.
